If a holiday came in the form of a dress, this is what said dress would look like – a colourful artisanal print with floaty, voluminous sleeves billowing in the Mediterranean breeze.

Say ‘hola!’ to AND/OR’s second collection with Ibizan boutique La Galeria Elefante – a wild and wonderful, bohemian concept store on the island of Ibiza founded by designer Victoria Durrer-Gasse. The shop creates and curates beautifully crafted fashion and homeware from all over the world, with an emphasis on supporting and empowering women and elevating creative talent.

With ideas coming from global textiles, nature and the beauty of the White Isle, Victoria has collaborated on a capsule of dreamy printed dresses. ‘The inspiration for these prints is definitely related to my world travels,’ she says. ‘A passion for global textiles and traditional printing techniques, childhood fairy tales and the natural beauty of Ibiza being the crystal clear waters, the scent of the pine forest, beautiful sunsets and the incredible clear light and blue skies.’

The dresses feature a range of patterns, ranging from romantic pink florals to abstract leaf designs and a ‘cosmic’ blue paisley. ‘The abstract leaf design in yellow of the Jody dress and also the same print in blue for the Kimono dress were inspired by the island’s sun, sand and sea,’ says Victoria. The black Lyrical flower-print dress with a large white motif, meanwhile, she describes as the city floral.

Then there are the romantic silhouettes, inspired by the 1960s summer of love mood still alive and kicking on the island. ‘The shapes have a bohemian feel with a touch of the feminine pirate, which is the ultimate female experience here in Ibiza,’ explains Victoria. ‘It’s about feeling free and comfortable in easy to wear pieces – complementing the woman’s body and giving her confidence.’

These versatile dresses can be dressed up or dressed down. ‘They’re perfect for the beach, or dinner, or shopping in the market,’ says Victoria. ‘You can wear them at festivals, weddings and easy summer garden parties too. Also the long sleeve styles are perfect for winter worn with a chunky oversize sweater and boots.’ So even if you can’t make it to the Balearics this summer, you can bring the spirit of Ibiza to your wardrobe instead.
