No one spends more time browsing on the John Lewis app than our team of shopping-addicted fashion and lifestyle journalists. So what will they be checking out come payday?
Sod waiting until July, with all its heatwave hysteria and panic purchasing of parasols and pizza ovens, this year I’m getting a headstart on summer – snaffling out the season’s hottest Home & Garden sale finds to see me through BBQs, bank holidays and beyond. Oh hello… honey-coloured pots and luxury lounge chairs, fancy transeasonal towels and perennially cool Le Creuset, all washed down with a Hugo Spritz in an amber-tinted glass.
And when the sun has got her hat on… I’ll be shimmying into Seafolly’s soon-to-be cult khaki bikini, cut for both poolside posing and actual swimming of lengths. By night, I’ll be Barbie Q bound, slipping on The Dress of 2023, a smoosh of red lippie and some classic white summer kicks.
With the five-and-¾ year old’s birthday looming, I’ll be looking to summer-ise her wardrobe. In strolls Whistle’s spirit-lifting Sunny sweater, this swimmers-suit (spotted in the sales), some – genius – DIY ice lolly moulds and a whopping great water sprinkler. As sure as the sun may shine, so too will my kids be wanging on about all four finds for the foreseeable.
Plus, when you buy kids' sleepwear, we'll donate 10% of the retail price to our Building Happier Futures fund as part of our ongoing commitment to help make a difference to young people from care.
