On trial: Clinique’s viral Pink Honey Lipstick

TikTok’s favourite lip formulation, Almost Lipstick is famous for its chameleon-like ability to suit all skin tones, yet look different on everyone. Now Clinique has dropped a new shade – Pink Honey – and the beauty world is very excited. 

Clinique’s Almost Lipstick range was almost axed, before public outcry led to the continuation of the bestselling Black Honey. (One is sold every three minutes worldwide, fact fans.)

Not quite a lipstick, not quite a gloss – this is more of a buildable balm. Almost Lipstick’s emollient-rich formula is what makes it magic. Think sheer coverage, soft shine and a subtle slip of colour. It’s fuss-free and very forgiving (you don’t need a mirror to apply), whether worn alone or layered over a louder lip colour.

Truthfully? I’m not really a lipstick person. I’m not #blessed with full-looking lips, and anything powerful leaves my mouth looking a bit like a letterbox.

Perfect for easing into 2024’s hottest lip trend (popsicle), it flatters thin and fuller-looking lips alike – in one swipe, or three – but it’s the barely there, balm-like finish that’ll have you longing to reapply.
