The Shesali is a medium-sized 'oval' model from Wildlife World's Artisan Wild Bird Nester range. The medium-sized cavity is perfect for species of small garden birds that roost alone or in a pair. Offering a cosy place to roost during harsh winter months, plus in springtime, small birds may use this Fair Trade product as a nest.
This nester has a sturdy inner frame for support. Attached metal hooks at the rear and a long loop at the top ensure you can fasten the nester securely, making it easier to site the nester in the natural leaf cover and vegetation of ivy, bushes, trees or hedges. The nester has a small round entrance reinforced with steel. It's also slightly protruding to make it easy for birds to land and perch on.
Handmade to the highest quality finish using natural seagrass and recycled saris, every nester is unique in colour. Each individual artisan chooses a colourful recycled sari pattern to work with, making every nester different.
Position the bird nester in a sheltered space to keep out harsh weather. Preferably face the bird nester between north and southeast. A warm protected roosting space out of the prevailing wind can be a lifesaver for small birds during cold harsh weather conditions.
Purchasing a Fair Trade product helps both wildlife and people. In addition to giving a bird a nest, you'll be supporting the Artisan workers in Southern Bangladesh who make them, funding the survival of many women and their families from rural communities in desperate poverty.

Returns and refunds
You can return or exchange an unwanted item within 30 days of receiving it. During the festive season, we have an extended returns period. Items purchased between 26 September and 24 December can be returned or exchanged until 23 January 2025.
Please allow up to 14 days from sending the item to receive your refund.

Return a small item you bought online for free to a John Lewis or Waitrose shop, or one of our return locations. You can also arrange a collection using Evri or Royal Mail.
Large items - items delivered by two people, such as appliances and furniture
We'll collect large items from you. Collections are free if your item is damaged or faulty. If not, we charge a collection fee. To arrange a collection, please contact us.
