Since 1961, BabyBjörn has prided themselves on making your parenting journey smoother, safer and more joyful - which is definitely what you want whether you’re a new parent or an experienced one.

The brand creates products that help you focus on what truly matters: those precious moments with your baby.

Ahead of the summer holidays, in preparation for anyone planning a trip with their little one we've we put two of BabyBjörn's travel essentials to the test.

What is the BabyBjörn Baby Carrier Harmony Woven Mélange?

it's a soft, structured and easy to use baby carrier. Suitable to use from newborn all the way through to three years old, the ergonomic design comes with padded back support. The carrier is comfy (no mean feat when you're lugging what feels like a sack of potatoes around all day), super-soft which is ideal for new skin and looks stylish to boot.

The woven mélange is a really comfortable fabric and as well as being kind to your baby's sensitive skin it also keeps both you and your baby feeling fresh and dry - so no sweat marks to embarrass you in the park. Better still, the blended colour means no spills and stains show up.

What is the BabyBjörn Travel Cot?

The cot. The cot! I'm a huge fan of travelling with your baby and despite what various naysayers think, its hugely rewarding and enjoyable...if you have the right kit.

Travelling can easily throw off your little one’s sleep routine, but in a familiar sleeping spot your child is more likely to drift off to dreamland, which increases the chance of you getting some shut eye too.

Enter this Rolls Royce of a travel cot. It's portable, lightweight, easy to set up and is one of the best I have tested. It's so small it takes up barely any room in the boot and it packs away neatly and easily into its very own travel bag.

You can set it up with one movement so a quick bedtime is sorted wherever you are. The mattress is super soft considering it's so neat and my little one slept all night long.

  • OEKO-TEX-certified
  • Easy to set up
  • Weight: 6 kg (including carry bag)
  • For ages 0–3 years

What makes the BabyBjörn Baby Carrier Harmony Woven Mélange and BabyBjörn Travel Cot so special?

When it comes to the carrier it's the comfort that is key. My youngest is two and she weighs a fair amount but I carried her on my back in this carrier for over an hour with no discomfort.

I also really noticed the benefit of the material keeping us both cool as when she finally decided she wanted to walk neither of us was clammy from where she'd been.

When it comes to the cot I can't sing its praises enough. The speed and ease at which you can put it up is light-years ahead of any other design we've tried. I also loved that the airy design lets you keep an eye on your baby and allows your baby to look out and the fact the fabric and the mattress cover can all be shoved in the wash.

It also feels solid (despite somehow being so light) so even when your little one is standing up demanding to be let out you're not in any fear it might topple over.

Is the BabyBjörn Baby Carrier Harmony Woven Mélange and BabyBjörn Travel Cot worth investing in?

It's a resounding yes from me. The fact alone that both items can carry you through from newborn to three years make them worth every penny and means cost per use is minimal - priced at £189.91 and £208.90 respectively.

You can really tell both the cot and the carrier have been created by a brand with decades of experience, as evidenced in the comfort, ease of use and stylishness of both.

As a mum of three I can't recommend highly enough.
