Save all your blushes for these

Hold the homepage. Charlotte Tilbury has dropped a new blush in her Pillow Talk collection, and the internet is EXCITED!

The newest addition to Tilbs’ much-hyped, award-winning, world-famous Pillow Talk range (one Pillow Talk product is sold every six seconds, globally, fact fans) this NEW Matte Beauty Blush Wand is inspired by Charlotte Tilbury’s Beauty Light Wands and – handily – makes a perfect pairing for anyone looking to add a pop of colour to their already lit-from-within skin.

Universally flattering and with three shades in the range (Pink Pop, Peach Pop and Dream Pop), these easy liquid blush wands are foolproof – this is ideal for time-poor types and frazzled faces – and promise to lift and revive every complexion, with a simple smoosh and a swipe.

How does it work?

As with Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Away Liquid Concealer and Beauty Light Wands (IYKYK) the magic cushion top makes application a doddle, while the payoff provides just the right amount of pigment for a perfect pop of colour. Throw in the (carefully infused) light-reflecting formula – that effortlessly glides on to skin for a satisfyingly smooth, soft-focus finish – and Charlotte’s on to another winner.

The verdict

When it comes to hyped beauty products, Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk collection is right up there with the Dyson Airwrap and ghd’s Duet Style. And don’t get us started on CT’s Hollywood Flawless Filter

So yes, you can expect the same sort of fangirling, dupe-testing and endless streams of YouTube reviews on the regular too.

Honestly? It’s as good as everyone says it is. And by everyone, we include ALL of Charlotte Tilbury’s celebrity makeup artist fans and A-list luvvies: Kate Moss? Jourdan Dunn? Nicole Kidman? Phoebe Dynevor? We’re looking at you.

The Matte Beauty Blush Wand packs all the perk-me-up pizazz of other leading liquid blushers – but minus the messiness, fussy application and wastage of competitor brands. It also delivers all the sorcery (aka science) that we’ve come to know, love and expect from Charlotte Tilbury. Plus it’s quick-drying, so ideal for fans of a five-minute face.

At £30 it is fairly pricey for a blush – so don’t throw out your half-finished current fave just yet. But when ‘empties day’ does come? Then 100% give the Beauty Blush Wand a whirl.

It’s made my exhausted face look instantly less knackered and – dare I say – healthy. Worn on its own, it delivers the kind of rested, fresh-faced colour pop you’d usually expect from a week in the Med/bed. That sort of result is priceless.

Do you apply it with foundation?

Wear it with or without – depending on the occasion and your mood.

The power of three

Team it with the Hollywood Contour Wand and Beauty Light Wand in Pillow Talk Original for big days (or Saturdays).

What’s the difference between a liquid blusher or a powder?

Liquid blushes last longer, blend more easily and – crucially – are buildable, so you can dial up your makeup at your leisure. If you’re feeling wild, unleash your inner MUA and dab this on lips or lids too, for a quick pro makeup fix. Try the Matte Beauty Blush Wand for a suits-all flushed finish that won’t dry out your skin, and thank me later.

How to apply it

Dial up the dots Apply to the apples of your cheeks using one dot for day, two for date and three for disco

Blend After each application brush up along the cheekbones towards the temples for a lifting effect (avoiding the eye area)

Is it worth the hype?

Is Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Beauty Blush Wand worth the hype? Come on. In my opinion, yes. It’s long-lasting, gives great glow, glides on seamlessly and effortlessly – and helps me look more awake, fast.
