Meet our Horsham locals

Five minutes with our real-life models

Over the past few months we’ve made some big changes to John Lewis Horsham, adding brand new fashion, beauty and kids’ departments to the existing two floors of kitchenware, furniture and technology.

There are also new services like a World of Design aimed to help you make your home your ideal living space and a Wonder Trail where you can let the kids run wild among the newest products for all ages. Once you’ve exhausted yourself shopping, pop into the Waitrose cafe for a much-needed cuppa.

As part of our campaign, we photographed Horsham residents in some of their favourite locations.

Meet Hugh Pryor

‘I’ve divided my time between Horsham and Kenya since 1984. I love that you can get a delicious lunch in town for as little as £10 but the thing I admire the most about Horsham is its determination to preserve its historical importance, from protecting an incredibly old post box (rumoured to be one of the first), to the secret tunnels under the Carfax.’

Meet Angeli de la Cruz

‘I’m a relative newbie to Horsham but over the past eight years I’ve put down roots and feel as though I’ve lived in this peaceful town for much longer. I love the fact it’s close enough to escape to the beach if I need a quick getaway.’

Meet Kim Leach

‘I’ve lived and worked in Horsham for more than 32 years and raised my family here. I’m a member of the local Ceroc dance group and I love Horsham’s independent shops and the way there’s always something new to see.’

Meet Carole and Arabelle Coleman

‘We have lived in this friendly, upcoming town since 1986 and love that it’s so close to the countryside. You’ll often find us at the Everyman watching the latest film release or enjoying a relaxing walk along the river.’

Meet Joe Atkinson

‘I’ve lived in Horsham for 13 years and love its sense of community. I also feel like it’s a really safe place.’
