Brand information
Cowshed was founded by Nick Jones, taking its name from the formerly working cow shed of a Somerset estate he purchased to create a venue offering luxury accommodation and food. While sourcing natural products for the estate’s rooms and spa, he was inspired to create a custom range of bath and body products.
With the assistance of expert fragrancier Richard Howard, Cowshed set to developing a range centred on the therapeutic nature of botanical essential oils. Cowshed products are made in England, with a variety of organic ingredients, wildcrafted plant extracts and pure essential oil of the highest quality. Cowshed selects cold pressed, extra virgin and other premium grade oils to ensure their essential vitamin and naturally replenishing fatty acid content are not lost.
Although its products are playfully named, Cowshed takes its formulations very seriously. They avoid the use preservatives and synthetics, and all of its products are plant-based with naturally derived ingredients. All Cowshed products are free from Parabens, Petrochemicals, Sulphaptes, PEGs, artificial colours or fragrances, Phthalates, Triclosan, GMOs, Animal ingredients and animal testing.

Small items
Return a small item you bought online for free to a John Lewis or Waitrose shop, or one of our return locations. You can also arrange a collection using Evri or Royal Mail.
Large items - items delivered by two people, such as appliances and furniture
We'll collect large items from you. Collections are free if your item is damaged or faulty. If not, we charge a collection fee. To arrange a collection, please contact us.
