The Nikola Tesla Switch combines an advanced induction hob with a central extraction fan for an odour-free cooking experience. Its black glass design makes it virtually invisible when set to stand-by mode.

High performance
Delivering excellent performance day after day, the Nikola Tesla Switch boasts a booster airflow of 620m³/h, and a low noise level of 60db.

Airmatic
When activated, the integrated sensor system will detect both the quantity and quality of the fumes being produced and will set the most appropriate power setting to remove them.

Bridge zones
Elica's bridge zones can work individually or be combined when using baking pans and large pots. With this advanced technology, the hob surface adapts itself to suit your cookware.

Pot detection
The Nikola Tesla automatically detects any pots that are placed in the cooking zone and provides quick, even heat. The absence of your cookware on the surface blocks the heating process, making the hob perfectly safe and energy efficient.

Temperature manager
Equipped with a choice of 3 programs at temperatures of 42°C, 74°C and 92°C, this smart hob uses optimum settings for all kinds of cooking methods, from warming at low temperatures to boiling.

Stop and Go
The Stop and Go feature lets you switch the hob off, and then quickly resume working at the same temperature. This is ideal for when you have to take a call or need to sort something in another room.

Please note: there should be a minimum height clearance of 65cm between an electric hob and the cooker hood above it.

What’s an induction hob?

Induction hobs heat the pan not the hob using an electrical current. Induction hobs can heat a pan faster than a traditional gas or electric hob, and are more energy efficient. They’re also easier to clean, as you can wipe the hob shortly after using it. Remember, not all ceramic hobs are induction hobs.

An induction hob can only be used with induction compatible pans. You can use induction kettles (which are faster to boil than normal kettles) with induction hobs. The fine degree of control over the power of the hob is also good for tasks like melting chocolate or making a sauce.
