Part of the Woollen Silk collection, this functional top is designed to be worn as thermal underwear but can also be worn on its own. Brand information
HANRO, established in Liestal, Switzerland, in 1884 by Albert Handschin and Carl Ronus, is renowned for its innovation and quality. The brand emphasises natural fibres and pioneered circular knitting technology, leading to global recognition.
From the 1890s through the 1940s, HANRO focused on comfort and elegance, creating delicate undergarments and seamless underwear that symbolised the modern woman. Despite wartime challenges in the 1940s, HANRO maintained its reputation for quality, with fine wool lingerie gaining popularity in the US.
In the 1950s, HANRO's creations graced Hollywood wardrobes, including Marilyn Monroe. By 1985, HANRO’s Cotton Seamless 1601 Spaghetti Top became an international bestseller.
The ‘Back to the Roots’ campaign in the 1990s reinforced HANRO’s heritage. In the 2000s, feather-light cotton ranges were introduced, expanding the brand’s offerings. Named ‘Designer of the Year’ in 2016 at the Salon International de la Lingeries, HANRO continues to focus on sustainable luxury, using modern fibres like TENCEL.
