Lynne Douglas was born and raised in Scotland, although she lived in Switzerland for many years. Lynne is largely self-taught in the world of photography but spent her early years painting and drawing. In later years, she studied the work of photographers specialising in low light / long exposure image capture. This technique represented to Lynne a route that lifted straightforward documentary photographing of a scene to the realm of art. Images of drifting clouds, foaming sea and fabulous colours reminiscent of the impressionist painters filled her head. Lynne sought out every resource she could think of to find better ways to capture and present her unique vision of the world.
