A reassuring sturdy pepper mill made with hand-cast iron, with a tactile matt and slightly raised finish. The distinctive Asian design influence resembles cast iron teapots. Use at the table and in the kitchen. Fitting comfortably in the hand, the charming pepper mill is accompanied by a delightful salt dispenser with a spoon, a lid and a table serving tray for both in bamboo.
Through two centuries of experience, Peugeot have expertly engineered each pepper mill and mechanism specifically for the consistency and shape of peppercorns. Made from steel, the mill mechanism is treated to prevent corrosion and rust. The salt dispenser is coated inside against corrosion. Made by Peugeot in France.
The grind control knob can be twisted to create your precise balance of flavour. Adjust to obtain the preferred grind size. The tighter the knob, the finer the grind. The unique two-stage grinding mechanism first effortlessly cracks, and then grinds the peppercorns to the desired coarseness. Very finely ground pepper will bring out its spice, while a coarser grinding will highlight its aromas and flavours.
The mill comes with high-quality Sichuan pepper from China which has gentle warm woody tones. To refill, simply unscrew the top knob, lift off the top and pour in peppercorns, with a maximum size of 6mm.
