The RS1 subwoofer from British audio experts Ruark delivers bass that smaller speakers just can’t, adding a new dimension to your musical enjoyment. It’s a perfect addition to the brand’s MR1 and R3S models (or indeed any other system where a subwoofer with style and good sound is required), adding the extra depth of low frequencies that you can feel aswell as hear. Bass is the foundation of music. It’s the element that makes you feel the rhythm, the groove, and the emotion of a song. And the RS1 delivers that.
Powerful, proportionate bass
Unlike some others, this subwoofer is not about thunderous, overblown bass. It’s about bass that is controlled, and, above all, musical. Ruark’s custom drivers are optimised to produce natural, extended, rhythmic bass. A powerful 100w Class D amp keeps firm control for pleasurable, proportionate bass at all volume levels.
A touch of Ruark elegance
It’s not for us to say really, but some subwoofers are maybe not the most attractive pieces of audio kit. But Ruark have produced the RS1 with the same attention to design elegance as runs through their whole range. A tailored grille and hand-crafted panels add an aesthetic touch that suits the modern home.
Compatibility
It’s the perfect companion sub to Ruark’s MR1 Bluetooth speakers. They produce great sound on their own, but, with the addition of the RS1, they take your listening to a new dimension. It also works with the brand’s R410 and R3S music systems, or, indeed, any other active speaker or amplifier with subwoofer or pre-out phono connectors.
Auto on & off
Handily, the RS1 automatically springs to life when needed, and also turns it itself off when no longer required.
