Product description

Product code: 65138703

Taken from an original archive block print design, this classic floral chintz is a fine example of the beautiful and abundant representations of flowers from the early twentieth century. Bursts of bouquets come to life in this trailing design, featuring roses and little rosebuds, iris, carnations and poppies, as well as cyclamen and pansies.

Printed on 100% tumbled linen, for a beautifully soft handle, Lakeland Paradis has been beautifully recoloured with a sense of depth and shadow in the flower petals and leaves, contrasting the strong grounds on which they feature. Vivid pigments in crimson, steely blues and plaster blush accent each bushel of blooms.

Brand information
Sanderson

Founded by William Morris in 1861, one of the 19th-century’s most celebrated textile designers, Morris & Co. is best known for wallpaper and fabric designs.

Morris championed handmade production, in contrast to the Victorian era’s push towards industrialisation. He wanted to provide affordable ‘art for all’ so the designs are intricate and beautiful, often drawing on the wildlife and nature he found around him.
