Replace your existing room thermostats yourself in just a few steps and control the temperature with ease using the tado app or your smart speaker. The Smart Thermostat X is compatible with most boilers and heat pumps (Relay or OpenTherm). You can also use it to control your water-based underfloor heating. It requires a tado Bridge X or other Thread Border Router (sold separately).

The tado Smart Thermostat X is compatible with gas boilers, heat pumps and water-based underfloor heating systems that are connected to a room thermostat. Simply install tado yourself with a step-by-step guide in the app.
Unique features
Use Smart Schedules to keep your rooms at the right temperature, exactly when you need it. tado recognises when your windows are open without additional window sensors, and will send you a reminder to turn down the heating. tado also checks local conditions to adjust your heating, so you stay in your comfort zone whatever the weather – and save even more. The app also has data on your heating behaviour and how much energy you’re saving. And it provides insights into your air quality, with tips on how to improve it.
Geofencing, only better
Heat individual rooms in line with your actual needs. No need to heat when nobody's home. You’re always in control and can manage your settings with just a few clicks in the app. So you don’t overheat on a warm October day.
Future-proof technology
tado X uses the Matter smart home standard. Many other devices and brands work with Matter, which means they're easy to connect to each other and your smart home network. All you need is the tado Bridge X (sold separately) or another Thread Border Router.
Top-notch design and operation
The app provides everything you need for intuitive and convenient temperature control. You can also control tado using voice commands (it works with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant) or manually on the device.
Next-level convenience
Subscribe to tado's optional Auto-Assist package in the app for even more benefits. View the energy savings you’ve made so far, including comparisons with previous months. Receive alerts if your heating behaves unusually and get help to solve any problems yourself. With Auto-Assist, features such as Geofencing and Open Window Detection work automatically to control your heating, instead of sending you a notification. Subscription fees apply for this optional service.
