In 1973, the small town of Newmarket in New Hampshire played host to the birth of an American legend. Created by Sidney Swartz with the “working man” in mind, the iconic Timberland 6 Inch boot was one of the first waterproof leather boots of its kind. It became an instant classic and has since been embraced as a style icon by numerous scenes around the world.
After 45 years of craftsmanship and having stood the test of time, little has changed from their original design.
Constructed with a 'direct attach' method to preserve their waterproof coating, the rubber log outsole ensures grippy traction even in the most adverse conditions. The padded collar gives a comfortable fit around the ankles, while even the laces have been made with Taslan fibres and rustproof eyelets for durability.
As Timberland says, 'there's just no substitute for a sturdy, waterproof boot to keep feet comfortable and dry, rain or shine'.
