The quickest way to crackling briquettes and the nostalgia of charcoal barbecuing starts with one simple, yet amazing, tool. Every barbecuer's essential sidekick, the Rapidfire Chimney Starter from Weber, is the fastest and easiest way to get barbecuing and start eating. Get your fire burning quickly with the must-have tool for all charcoal barbecues.
The durable, aluminised steel Rapidfire Chimney Starter has two handles to provide optimal control when pouring hot briquettes – wearing gloves, just grab its thermoplastic handle with one hand and its top wire handle with your other hand to direct fuel onto your charcoal grate. Its cylindrical canister holds enough charcoal to fill your kettle barbecue, and its cone-shaped bottom ensures that briquettes light quickly and evenly. To use your Rapidfire Chimney Starter, simply place it over a lighter cube or crumpled newspaper, light your preferred fire starter, and you're well on your way to burning red-hot briquettes – in less time and completely lighter fluid free.
The chimney starter speeds up the heating time of coals so that you can get your charcoal barbecue cooking sooner. The large capacity will hold enough briquettes for a 57cm diameter kettle grill. It works best with Weber lighter cubes.

Brand information
Hungry for success in the 1950s, George Stephen Snr would soon change the way Americans cooked outdoors. Working at Weber Brothers Metalworks in Chicago, manufacturing marine buoys, he decided to chop a metal buoy in half, add air vents and legs and so created the original kettle barbecue. His lidded barbecue looked like a spaceship but it soon took off when people tasted its grilling results.
With post-war Americans embracing less formal entertaining at home, outdoor covered cooking caught on and not long after setting up on his own, George was able to buy out Weber Brothers. Weber gas and electric barbecues went from strength to strength, especially with the arrival of the Weber Genesis in the 1980s. Weber is now known worldwide for its barbecues, tools, covers and other BBQ accessories.
