English Heritage by Designers GuildDesigners Guild Carlisle Fauna Furnishing Fabric, Woad
£65.00 per metre
Product description
Product code: 65387901
A multicoloured block print style design featuring flowers and leaves in all-over form. Traditionally rotary printed onto a soft pure cotton canvas, suitable for all interior applications including upholstery, this fabric comes in four versatile colourways.
The original wallpaper fragment on which the design is based was in a single tonal colour block, print in a panelled form edged with vertical stripes. The team at Designers Guild re-worked this as an all-over pattern in multi colour tones to create a more versatile design.
Removed in 1990 from No.17 Carlisle Street in London's Soho district built in 1765 - the name came from the mansion built in the mid 1680's which was occupied by the Countess of Carlisle. No.17 Carlisle Street still exists today as one of the largest houses in the area and the exterior and interior still retain many original features.

Brand information
Creativity and innovation are at the centre of the Designers Guild philosophy, which leads to the highest levels of quality in their designs and products.
The company was established in 1970 by Tricia Guild, who still owns and leads the company along with her brother. She’s intimately involved in the process of getting design ideas from page to product, a process that can take up to two years and with inspiration coming from many avenues including nature, architecture and decorative art.
Designers Guild is now known worldwide as a design house for furnishing fabrics, wallcoverings, upholstery, and bed and bath collections.
