X-Trans sensor and X-Processor 5 for max performance
Designed to deliver premium image quality and outstanding performance, it’s equipped with the back-illuminated X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor with a huge 40.2 megapixels approx. It has a pixel structure that allows more light to be captured than any previously-released X100 Series camera.

Intuitive design for analogue operation
Echoing classic film camera design, the dials on the top-plate combine functionality with freedom. View or change camera settings at any time, with shutter speed, aperture, and ISO controls all instantly accessible. Like its predecessor, the top and bottom of the camera body are built from aluminium, pressed and machined for sharp edges, with surfaces finely blasted for a smooth texture. The ergonomic grip has been fine-tuned to ensure just the right feel, and the rear buttons have been moved to a position that’s easy to operate with the right hand, enabling extremely comfortable shooting while looking through the viewfinder.

Advanced hybrid viewfinder
This allows you to switch freely between the optical viewfinder (OVF) and the electronic viewfinder (EVF), pursuing the rangefinder style of photography that’s a hallmark of this camera series. An OVF Image Display option allows you to view an image after it’s been made, either at full screen or in the corner of the viewfinder. The EVF is equipped with a high-resolution OLED panel with approximately 3.69 million dots, enhancing the immersion of the shooting experience.

6.2K movies at 30fps
For the first time in the X100 Series, the VI model offers 6.2K/30P movie recording for exceptionally detailed, super-smooth footage. And an impressive autofocus prediction algorithm ensures reliable focusing when recording continuously moving subjects. Built using deep-learning AI technology, it detects animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, airplanes, trains, insects and drones.

23mm lens
The optically precise 23mm lens (carried over from the X100V), perfectly complements the 40.2-megapixel sensor, delivering edge-to-edge sharpness throughout the frame.
